"You're here," James replied slowly, "because you're fucking with some one I care about."

James picked out a blade that looked like a curved butter knife and studied the edge by running it across his finger. The light glinted and flashed across the demons red goat-like face. He took a breath and turned, leaning against the table's edge and stared down at Deakar. James' body now obscured the light, casting the trembling grey timber wolf in darkness again with his eight foot frame. "You seem to have a problem listening." James grinned.
