My name is Abraxas, Abraxas the Dragon. *he smiled extending his claws* I am 18 years old, and originally from Indiana, but currently in Kansas. I have been a part of the fandom since the age of 13, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in the short time I have lived.
I am a shy dragon, yes, but very friendly *giggles* once you get to know me that is. And I love meeting new friends, so please, if you would like to, watch me and send me a note, I will more than likely reply within 7 hours, the only reason it'd take that long is if you caught me right as I fall asleep.
Friends are what makes life worth living, they are the ones that can make you smile when something is wrong, and perhaps make you happy, and even make a change for the best. Hold them close, and dear, is how I look at it. Life is to short to have enemies and... why not cherish the ones that you care for? Who doesn't like talking to a friend here and there? And they are relationships that can potentially last a lifetime, whether that friendship is online, or in reality, or rather, physical.
At 19, I have experienced so much and gone through things that a teenager shouldn't have to. I, as many in the fandom, am a homosexual. My father is one of the most prolific homophobics out there, and fails to come to the reality that his only son is gay. On November 25, 2011, I "came out of the closet" to a large number of my peers, in fact, to everyone but my father. Luckily some people can keep a secret. My parents are divorced and my family is broken from the very foundation.
We all have a passion in life, it just takes time to discover just what it is. I although, have more than one. And they are Writing, and Astronomy.
Writing has been a love of mine for my entire life. From the age of 10, I have kept a journal writing down just about everything I could, including my most personal thoughts, not a thing goes unwritten. During my freshman year of high school, I joined the yearbook staff and the yearbook staff, and now, in my senior year, the editor and chief of the school paper, and head of the yearbook staff.
I work hard for everything I have. At this time, I work a job that costs me 35 hours of the week, as well as school, and an occasional article in my counties paper, of which I had a summer internship with just this past summer. I love writing more than I do my parents, if I could be a writer and make a living, I would in an instant.
Astronomy to me, is one of the most beautiful things known to man. These clear Kansas sky's can be so mind blowing in some I stances. I have always loved to just see and learn about astronomy, and do consider myself an intermediate astronomer. When I got my first telescope, I was outside for hours at a time looking at the most amazing sites I have ever laid my eyes on. Galaxies, planets, moons, satellites, it is all just so amazing to me. I have read book after book on our solar system, I hope to keep astronomy in my life to the very end.
Love is such an amazing feeling, for those who have felt it, I am sure you know what I am talking about, and if you do not, *he smiled* do not worry, you will one day soon.
I really must thank everyone who has had an interest in my writing, or in me. It really means a lot to have those who admire your work, and I hope you all realize how grateful I am. Please feel free to send me a note. *waves goodbye*
