Well then... my bio. *cough*
Erm, not really much to me to be honest. I am your typical german shepherd guy, 25 years of age. I call Florida my home, and work full time as an engineer for a government contractor. I just finished up college life, so I'm still in the process of adjusting to the job. Even so, I don't miss being a student one bit.
I've always had a fascination with daydreaming, which is what spurred me into writing. I've been visiting this site long before it became SoFurry, but only in the past few years have I decided to try my hand at actually posting material. It's been an interesting learning experience since I threw my first story up on here. I'll admit, I was surprised how bad my grammar really was in the beginning.
Thanks to some very helpful friends though, I've been slowly improving my writing style. It's my goal to one day write a full length novel that can be published (Silent Guardians doesn't count :P). But that's a long term goal. For now, I simply enjoy throwing up stories and such on here for others to read and enjoy. It is quite gratifying for me to write down my ideas and share them. Unfortunately my work has slowed down some thanks to my lack of freetime, i.e. being fully employed now. Hopefully once things settle down some, I can get back into the groove.
I hope to become more involved with the furry community over the next few years. I'm planning to attend conventions, go out and make new friends, really just get out there and see who all I can meet. I've been a closet fur up until now. I plan to change that though.
If you'd like to talk to me, I'm usually on my YIM account (spudzeight), and to a lesser extent Gtalk (spud010688).
I'm not entirely sure why I decided to sit down and write this journal entry. I suppose it's just to look back on the last few weeks and reflect. There was a lot I could've, would've, or should've done differently. But that's all in the past now. It's been an emotional rollercoaster, with plenty of ups and down. Ultimately though, things didn't end how I wanted.
Adopting a new dog into my life was an aspiration I've had for a couple months. I already have one pet, a german shepherd named Kano, who has become a huge part of my life since I took him into my home two years ago. He has been a great companion, and has always been there for me, usually with a slobbery tennis ball in his mouth. I began to see subtle changes in Kano this past winter that came with the onset of old age. Knowing that we only have a couple more years left together, I decided to look for another companion, both to keep him company, as well as comfort me for when that fateful day came when Kano would no longer be with me.
