Well then... my bio. *cough*
Erm, not really much to me to be honest. I am your typical German shepherd guy, 25 years of age. I call Florida my home, and work full time as an engineer for a government contractor. I just finished up college life, so I'm still in the process of adjusting to the job. Even so, I don't miss being a student one bit.
I've always had a fascination with daydreaming, which is what spurred me into writing. I've been visiting this site long before it became SoFurry, but only in the past few years have I decided to try my hand at actually posting material. It's been an interesting learning experience since I threw my first story up on here. I'll admit, I was surprised how bad my grammar really was in the beginning.
Thanks to some very helpful friends though, I've been slowly improving my writing style. It's my goal to one day write a full length novel that can be published (Silent Guardians doesn't count :P). But that's a long term goal. For now, I simply enjoy throwing up stories and such on here for others to read and enjoy. It is quite gratifying for me to write down my ideas and share them. Unfortunately my work has slowed down some thanks to my lack of freetime, i.e. being fully employed now. Hopefully once things settle down some, I can get back into the groove.
I hope to become more involved with the furry community over the next few years. I'm planning to attend conventions, go out and make new friends, really just get out there and see who all I can meet. I've been a closet fur up until now. I plan to change that though.
If you'd like to talk to me, I'm usually on my YIM account (spudzeight), and to a lesser extent Gtalk (spud010688).
It's been a while since I posted any sort of journal entry, so I figured now was as good a time as any. 2014 got off to a rough start, with my job bending me over a chair as of late. I've found myself working obscene amounts of overtime at weird hours and it has taken its toll on my productivity. I wish I could say I've made decent progress with my writing, but I can't. There's usually nothing left when I manage to drag myself home on any given night, and some cases morning.
Nonetheless, there are some results, however small, to be had. I'm currently working on a little project that should've been done a long time ago. It's a single chapter endeavor that builds off one of my earlier one-offs that I was unsatisfied with. I have no idea when it will be posted as my pace has all but stalled for the time being. But I am working on it when time and energy allows. Once this project is posted, I plan to continue and eventually finish Northpoint. But that timetable is up in the air for now. I, however, will ...
