I like, I like...
can you make it to where it shows ALL tags placed on a story/art piece. I always find it annoying when i read the tags and believe something to be right up my alley, then bam, vore, rape, scat, etc...
Aside from that, I like the overall design for the new layout.
Also, you have the ability to set tags you never want to see in your preferences. Any submission matching those will be excluded from the listing when you browse!
To clarify, though: we'll only show the first N tags in order to keep the list view nicely organized. Showing all tags would make some items balloon in size and might be used by the unscrupulous to inflate the attention given to their items.
The delineation is a problem in this screen, but I don't think it necessarily needs a border to make it work properly. This will be looked into somewhen during the next few days, thanks for the feedback :)
Stories are a very high priority. As design lead I've put more work into the story side of SF2 than the art side, so I don't understand where your attitude comes from.
The first priority of a listing view is not to cram as many items as possible into a page, but to display the items on the page as clearly as possible and enable the visitor to quickly and easily assess which of the items are relevant to their interest, without making the interface so noisy that it becomes stressful to browse.
Since the posting of this screenshot, beta feedback has already helped us to optimize the way stories are listed, and we're continuing to develop it further.
Also, our awesome code monkeys have worked their magic so that the wider your browser window is, the more columns of stories you see.
Hmmm...looks kinda complicated, but then again you did say its a work in progress, so i guess i'll have to wait until then. Looks really cool, maybe some color could bring it out more, but still awsomeness!
