since iv been asked a million times about my fursona i made a reference sheet.
ok time for some info:
the puff (Gou-qilin cub) in this pic is called Vitz. i plan to do other things with him later but for now hes the perfect example of a normal modern gou-qilin.
BASIC: gou is chinese for dog while qilin is chinese for unicorn so basically a gou-qilin is a canid unicorn. while having features from both canines and unicorns a gou-qilin will always lean more to one then the other (in Vitz's case, more towards canine) but all gou-qilin have a horn and back hooves.
FUR: the natural colours r the colour of their full coat when born but as they become more mature highlights in the fur will appear.
HORNS: there r many types of gou-qilin horns and i have shown the most common. the horn will always be the same colour as the fur highlights along with the nose, tail, back teeth, genitals, and eyebrows (eyebrows r only present on the anthro versions).
HOOVES AND CLAWS: hooves and claws will either be black or white solely depending on the location of birth. DNA has no part in this as it only depends on where birth takes place (for example, if the mother(s) and/or father(s) were born in china they will hav black hooves, but if theyre puff is born in America he/she will hav white)
EYES: eye colour is usually a a highlight colour not used in the fur with a yellow pupil.
GENITALIA AND REPRODUCTION: male gou-qilin will usually hav a shaft the same colour as the highlights with a knot (more canine) or flared head (more unicorn). females will hav 2 breasts and a humanoid vagina. both males and females can reproduce with the same gender, the opposite gender, or on their own. pregnancy varies depending on the gender and how he/she was impregnated.
TAILS: there r 3 types of tail. a long furless tail with a tuft of fur on the end, a canine-like tail, or a short hair brush-like tail
