Don't let our world fall

Commission for TomTom1989 from FA featuring his character fighting against the darkness of an ancient force of evil. I let my imagination run wild for this drawing (getting inspiration from the world of Howard Phillips Lovecraft and from Magic the Gathering). I hope you like it ;)

See, I recognized those floating pyramidal bits instantly, and your name is a dead giveaway that you know a fair bit about MTG. Anywho, I like the Lovecraft references, and wish that he was either more clothed, or a lot less.

Lovecraft's horrors combined with the Eldrazi. That planeswalker there got his hands full alright. The stones floating in the background are hedrons, eh?

Anyways, I'm loving the picture. I'm a sucker for fantasy. Doubly so the sort that includes magic. Reading lore of any form of fiction is one of my favorite past-times. And so is looking at good depictions of it.

I note some Zendikar in there. Based on it's cliffhanger fate, I hope that guy is very lucky. I like how the floating pieces of land in some ways resemble teeth of the sky.

The largest floating stone and that orb looked like a music note when I first glanced at this picture. And I'm think, "So music can dispel the chaos of the mind."
