The distorted "pauses" in this piece were very well developed and added significantly to the otherworldly atmosphere that was present heavily in this piece. There was a slight feeling of lagging behind with the rhythmic chugging of the distorted guitar, though it is a little hard to tell if it was intentional or not, whether the feeling of struggling to move forward was one that the listener was supposed to share or whether it was unintentional. Slight reverb would be a good addition, as the mastering feels very dry, most notably in the introduction. However, if this was the creative direction you were taking this piece in, then it is a non-issue. Good work.
I'm not the best mixer or producer, but this is one of my first songs that I think I can say that I'm happy with. I have released two self published albums that were pretty much practice. Hopefully this year I will get to release an album with updated versions of the tracks. This is the first track for that album. I really appreciate feedback and your comment. Listen and share my music in any way you can. It will be appreciated.
