that's so cool! is it a saarloos wolfhound? :)
Lonewolf Artz 2 years ago 0
no idea. he's some kind of timber wolf hybrid. he's high content so we're not sure what dog breed he's mixed with

saarloos wolfhounds are wolf hybrids.he might be a saarloos wolfhound or a Ceskoslovensky Vlcak mixed with a timber wolf.
nice photo anyway! ^-^

Everyone's saying Saarloos, but i'm thinking Tamaskan Dog. They're wolf-like in looks. Also, this pic is so awesome i'm gonna use it on my desktop.

Tamaskans have no wolf in them at all. they're just bred to look like wolves. but these are high content wolfdogs, meaning they have about 70% or more wolf in them

Quote "Tamaskans have no wolf in them at all. they're just bred to look like wolves."

I did some research on the Tamaskan 'cause my Retriever needs a buddy. I even looked on YouTube to check out the breed i action. But okay, i'll go with you on that. Cool that you got a hybrid, though :3

"Morphologically, Tamaskans have been bred to look like wolves and have a notable lupine appearance, although they contain no recent wolf ancestry."

it's even been given the name "the no-wolf wolfdog" they were bred with Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and German Shepherds. to give them the "wolf" look. ive been doing research on Tamaskans myself for a long time.

and btw, this isn't my hybrid. he belongs to a wolf and wolfdog rescue
