A quick little story about the complications of a teenage wolf's obsession with another teenage boy. this is supposed to be a bit of a comedy and a bit of a tragedy. I hope that you guys enjoy it.
Just My Imagination
Brian was a mixed bag of weird. Teenage hormones and the increasing pressure of daily school life was not treating him well, not that it ever treated anyone fairly. However, he felt as though he might be a special case to the dramatic change in his perception.
The young wolf was of normal height for his species and average weight as well. He went to a normal high school that was not particularly known for much, other than its debate team going to nationals once. He had a solid 3.0 GPA which was not too impressive, but not as bad as it gets. He had a handful of friends that he spent most of his time with during the passing periods, lunch, and the occasional after school adventure. The life of the plain and uninteresting seemed to live up to being a truly plain and uninteresting experience.
Yet, the wolf was anything but plain and uninteresting, for he was starting to develop feelings for a certain person sitting in the desk in front of him. The close proximity of the wolf's lover was driving him crazy, and he had to do something about it. But how was he to tell another guy that he had feelings for him? Feelings that were normally reserved for one of the opposite sex.
Brian was homosexual, and this presented a problem that he had never imagined that he would have to deal with. To confess to someone his true and deepest feelings when the success rate of being struck by lightening was significantly higher than that same person having feelings for him as well. He had not even known if he was gay or not, and the odds were not about to get behind him and give him the push that he very well needed.
"Why the cheetah?" He asked in his mind, referring to the boy in front on him. He asked this question a lot, wishing that it had been one of the other gay guys in school.
Chance was not all against him. His school actually had several different openly homosexuals available for him to experiment with: A chubby little fox who always had his nose buried into some sort of super hero comic book, a colorful bird who looked like he had daddy issues, and a deer who was just as normal as the wolf was, sans the flamboyant lisp that protruded whenever he opened his muzzle. Three openly homosexual males, who all seem so uninterested in each other that he would do well to just snatch one and call it a day.
But none of them compared to the beauty of the boy that always sat in front of him. He always came in with a cup of coffee in one paw and his literature book in his other. He had a short tuff of headfur that had a strange that pounced up and down for every step that he took. His body was slim and toned, just as he would expect most cheetahs to have. And even his smile was perfect, despite him drinking the same cup of coffee everyday.
Brian could smell the cup of coffee from his seat, always curious as to where he got it. A video formed in his head to one day find that coffee shop and wait for him in the morning. When the cheetah would walk in, he would give that face of familiarity to him and start up some conversation. They would talk for a little while before Brian would confess his love for him. The cheetah would ask the question, "Are you stalking me?" judging from how he found the coffee place. Brian would respond with, "What do you define as 'stalking'." And by the end of the video, the wolf would cover his face as scourging hot theoretical coffee was flung straight at him.
The wolf growled at the thought of losing in his own imaginary fantasy with the cheetah. He quickly stopped himself though, as he noticed some of the students could hear him. They gave him a quick glance, but all of them a bit too terrified step up to the plate and confront him. Brian ran his paw through his hair and tried to keep a level of cool. At least, a level of cool that was acceptable.
His mind race with another plan. One that involved a lot less hot beverages, and a lot more success. He had poked his head over the cheetahs shoulder from time to time, and discovered that his literature book was covered in notes. Usually, if someone was going to put anything in literature books loaned from the high school bookstore, it would be of genitals and curse words. Even the wolf himself had doodled a couple times inside of his own book, drawing a sketch of a long wet smelly brown turd over Shakespeare's head.
The cheetah, on the other hand, looked to be a bit of a poetic. He had circled the works of famous authors of poems and drew analysis to their deeper meanings in the free space on the side of the pages. The stuff that the cheetah was able to infer was that of someone who was a literary genius. He had even went as far as to write his own stuff in his notebook. The wolf was so curious about what the cheetah had been writing that he began to peek at his stuff from time to time.
To avoid the other classmates from seeing his invasive mannerisms, he simple poked his head up over the cheetah's shoulder and write down one line at a time. The performance was awkward, but Brian could not imagine a way in which this situation would not be. Maybe the other students could certainly tell that the wolf was being a bit of a creeper, but none of them had said anything about it yet. And as long as the cheetah would go on writing his poetry, he knew that he would continue to read it.
Another video flashed in his mind. This time it was the wolf catching the cheetah in the middle of the school's hallways between passing periods. Brian was not a poet, but he would certainly be anything that the cheetah asked of him. The wolf would drop down to his knees and spread his arms in front of the cheetah, shocking him and keeping him still as the wolf would say:
My Spotted Feline of Class Two O' Three.
I Have a Poem That You Must...See?
It is a Little Cheesy and Hard To Weather
But Can We Please Be Gay Together?
The cheetah would stare back at him with his jaw dropped and his muzzle red. Everyone that would be in the hallways would also have a blank expression as they waited for the cheetah's answer. Brian, on the other hand, would be panting like a mad man and sweating like one too. When the cheetah would be able to move and speak again, he would hold out his paw to him.
Brian would take his paw in his own and lift himself up to the other male, and bring his muzzle close to the other. The cheetah would have a large grin across his muzzle and an embarrassed look in his eyes as well. The wolf would lean in to kiss him, but the cheetah would pull on his paw and lead him away from the area.
Thinking the cheetah was shy, Brian would gladly be lead by him to whatever secret hiding place he would have in mind. They would go out of the doorways to the school and towards the trailers in the back of the school. The cheetah would keep talking to him, telling him that everything was alright and that they would get to a safe place soon. When they finally reached the trailers, the cheetah would climb up the steps and knock on the door.
Perhaps this was some secret location where homosexual students would meet during the passing periods and they would get some privacy. Brian would rub the back of his head nervously, wondering if this was appropriate and all. He had never imagined to have 'relations' with another male, and now he might be doing more than kissing him. Heck, the wolf did not even have lube on him or anything.
When the door finally opened though, he saw a teacher standing with her arms folded. The wolf would cock his head to the side in confusion and ask, "Is this legal?" and both the cheetah and the teacher would stare back at him in confusion. He then poked his head in the classroom and saw that there was a lot of students inside of the class and none of them looked normal. In fact, they all looked like they had down syndrome.
"I found one of your students." The cheetah said to the teacher, pushing the wolf forward to the instructor. "And I think the little guy 'likes' me."
Both of them would share a laugh at the wolf's expense and he progressing weeks would be horribly awkward for both the wolf and the cheetah when they found out that he was not 'special'. Or maybe he would just stay in the special ed class to avoid the hypothetical and hyperbolic social suicide that he committed himself to.
The wolf groaned and tilted his head back, getting a headache from all of the failed theoretical attempts to win the cheetah's love. He became infuriated with the irritating imaginary cheetah that kept torturing him every time that he tried to do something nice. In his annoyance, he began to confuse the real cheetah with his own cheetah.
Why did he have to do all of the work to win his love? How come the cheetah would not just approach him and confess to the wolf with all of his feelings? Then the wolf would have the option of deciding whether the cheetah would get a cup full of hot coffee in the face or be lead to the special education room to face the special education students for the rest of the semester.
"This is stupid." Brian thought in his head, realizing that he was getting mad at the cheetah for something that he had not even done yet. The other students were also beginning to notice his frustration. He could hear them whispering to each other and it must have been about him. His outbursts were getting worse with each passing situation that roamed through his mind. This had to stop today.
The wolf waited until the end of the class before stalking the cheetah towards his next class. PE, none the less and what better place to profess your love to someone than when they are between changing clothes. Brian kept a safe distance behind him, not wanting the cheetah to turn around early and ask him if he was stalking him. He knew how the situation would play out.
When he reached the locker rooms, Brian would wait outside for a second, to take long deep breaths. He had wished that he had something to take off the burning sensation that was invading his chest and mind. He contemplated tucking his tail between his legs and darting towards the entrance of the school to never return again.
He knew that he could not do that though, and the more that he thought about running away, the more that he realized it was an unintelligent choice. He had not done anything yet to even warrant running away like a scared pup. Still, he felt like a cub standing outside of the locker rooms with his head in his paws and breathing as though he just did a marathon.
When he had enough courage, he turned towards the locker room and walked in. He walked slowly through the rows of lockers for the cheetah. His nose twitched and wrinkled from the strong smell of sweat that clung to the air. His mind raced on the idea of choosing another location to approach the cheetah, but before something came to his mind, he spotted him.
The cheetah was there, down to nothing but his cute white briefs and a pair of white socks. The image was perfect to him and better than his imagination could ever come up. Though, the briefs left little for the imagination, he liked to try and come up with something in his head as well. He was the only one in the entire row for some reason that was far beyond him.
In the wolf's stare, he had not realized that the cheetah had noticed him too. He not only noticed him, but he was walking up to him. The wolf looked side to side and behind him, clarifying that there was no one else around him. The cheetah and him were alone and the only reason that he would be walking up to him while wearing next to nothing was to talk to him.
Brian struggled to think of something smooth to say. "Hey sexy" was way too out of line to approach with. "Hi" seemed to be so insignificant of a response that he did not want to approach with it either. All of the things that Brian had thought to say either were too strong or too weak and there was no middle ground that the wolf could think of.
"I've noticed you." The cheetah said with a mixture of fear and courage, trying to approach the wolf as close and safe as possible.
With all the time that Brian had spent thinking of different things to say, he had not realized that the cheetah was already within talking distance from him. And never in the wolf's lifetime would he believe that the cheetah would say something to him. He wished that he had spent more time thinking up things that the cheetah would say to him so that he could come up with a response that was fitting. The only thing that was coming from his muzzle was the stammering and stuttering of fumbling and bumbling words.
"Have you been stalking me?" The cheetah asked in confusion and curiosity, taking a step back in fear.
Brian checked the cheetah's paws, making sure that they were coffee free, less he end up not shielding himself in time for the molten coffee death that he was expecting. Thankfully though, the cheetah had only brought his briefs and socks with him and nothing that showed promise to cook his muzzle. With the advantage, the wolf used the pause to think of something to say. Something that was not a fail attempt at poetry.
"Yes. But not because I'm, like, some killer or a creeper." He said, trying to defend himself as he admitted to the awkward question. "I like you. I like the beauty of your poetry, I like the smell of your coffee, I like the bright smile on your face, and I like the little stand of hair that bounces back and forth when you walk in."
The cheetah was stunned as the wolf confessed to him. Never before had anyone, guy or girl, ever approached him that he had liked him. The cheetah's deep affinity for poetry put off most people, labeling him as a 'fag' or a 'pussy'. As well, he had never imagined that any part of his body would ever be physically attractive to another person. All of these concepts that the wolf just threw out to him were so foreign that he could not believe they were true.
"What's this? A joke? You and your friends going to jump out and yell at me that I have been punked?" The cheetah said, almost shouting at the wolf.
Brian started to shake, now terrified that he had just messed up. He wished that the cheetah would just stop yelling at him and take a moment to figure out that the wolf was telling the truth about everything. There was nothing more that he could say though. Nothing could have been closer to the truth, and yet, the cheetah was treating him like he was some dick. There was only one thing that the wolf could think of to do and he would have to take a chance on it.
Brian lunged his muzzle forward and pressed his lips right up against the cheetah's. In the cheetah's surprise, he opened his muzzle to say something but any words that came out were engulfed by the kiss. He wrapped his paw around the back of the cheetah's head, holding him close to the stop him from pulling away if he decided to.
Unexpectedly though, the cheetah was not fighting the wolf at all. He felt the cheetah's paws stray from his sides to the wolf's hips. The cheetah slid his palms to mold perfectly with the wolf's own body, steadying them as their lips parted and their tongues collided within each other's muzzles. Brian coaxed his fingers around the back of the cheetah's tuft, sliding his claws gently over his scalp. Not even the sound of the passing period bell could interrupt the moment that they shared. That was, until it did.
The wolf opened his eyes and sat mortified at his desk behind the empty seat in front of him. He had never moved an inch from his first thought of taking a face full of coffee to the passionate kiss that he had with his lover. He was still in the same desk, thinking up different scenarios to face the cheetah. The cheetah who had left minutes before to go to his PE class.
The wolf realized that his paws were extended as he held onto an invisible head and stroked invisible ears. He had even tilted his head and closed his eyes to make sure that the kiss was perfect. The goofy look of the wolf's muzzle had drawn the attention of some of the other students. One of them even had the balls to pull out their camera phone and take a picture of the spectacle in font of him.
The wolf would surely take care of that person later, perhaps on his way home and perhaps with something large and metal. But for once, the wolf found a situation where he had not ended up in some horrible situation where he would end up in a special ed class or in an emergency room for burns. He had finally won his own theoretical game.
Brian looked up at the clock and raised his eyebrows. He had a solid five minutes before the warning bell would ring and all of the students would have to be ready in their gym clothes. A smile grew across the wolf's muzzle as a peculiar thought crossed his mind. He wondered if the cheetah really wore briefs or boxers. Well, he certainly would not find out by just imagining it. Some things are better left to reality, he thought as he stood up and made his way to the locker rooms.
