Love this series. I recently had surgery on my hand, so that's why it took so long. I hope you all like the cliff-hanger.
We walked into Trev's room and I sat on the bed. He shut the door behind me. "Why did you shut the door?" He didn't answer, he just sat beside me. "Do you want to talk about what happened earlier?" I looked away to hide the sad expression on my face. "No..." "It's ok, I wont force you to, can we atleast continue our conversation from earlier?" "Ok..." "So, you said you had a brother. Is he, well, you know." "Sorta, he's bi." "Really? I wonder how that works..." I growled at him. "Relax! Im not gonna leave you. Why don't we go for a walk so you can cool off?" "Sure, but where to?" He stared at me and smiled. "We can go to the arcade!" He grabbed my paw and took me out of the house.
We walked slowly down the street, holding paws. We separated a few times when we saw a person. When we got to the arcade, it was empty. "I guess not many people like to skip school, right Mike?" We giggled and started playing. We played till we ran out of games. "I won you a tiger stuffed animal, Mike!" I took it in my arms. "Aw, it looks just like you. I won you a german shepherd stuffed animal." He took it and looked at me. "Hah, looks nothin like you." "Oh, shut up kitten." He laughed and hugged me. He adjusted his embrace so I couldn't move at all and he kissed me. I was enjoying every bit of it, atleast until I felt him jerk away. "Where'd you go?" "Imagine my suprise when I came to check on you two and neither of you were there, or anywhere in the house at all." Maxx was holding him by the back of the shirt and he was struggling, trying to get back to me. He looked very angry at us. He pushed Trev to Zack, who was waiting right behind him. "Here, hold him, i'm going after the puppy. Zack picked Trevor up and held him tightly. "Now, as for you." He grabbed at me but I ran. I easily lost him in the maze of arcade games. I ducked under one and crawled to where I saw Maxx's feet. 'Hah, that will get him to drop my kitten.' I stood up behind him and started growling. He turned around as soon as he heard. "Ah, not again!" He dropped Trevor and backed away. "Come on, kitty, lets run." We ran out of the room and when I looked back, Zack had a furious look on his face. Maxx grabbed him and they ran after us. "They're way to fast, we can't keep this up!" "Oh, I dont think so, I know my brother, he may be fast but he can't take a turn. We ran into the nearest alley and were faced with a huge wooden fence. "Only one way past, over." He climbed up. I jumped up after him and heard a huge crash. I looked back to see Maxx laying in a pile of trashcans. "Told you he can't take a turn, come on!" He reached down and I grabbed his paw. He pulled me over the fence. "Hah, they will never be able to catch up to us. We can just walk now. I'm getting hungry, lets go to that rib place!" "I'm hungry too." "Oh, no." "What is it?" I looked at him a little worried and he was looking at the fence. "I just remembered something..." He barely got the sentence out before Zack smashed through the fence with Maxx close behind him. "Run, pup, run!" We bolted away. "Follow me, Trevor, I know for certain how to get rid of them." I took his paw and led him to a vaccant lot. "Get in that little hole!" I pushed him into a small hole in the wall and he barely fit through. I jumped through easily. We looked back and Maxx was already trying to get through. "Get over here you two!" Maxx almost reached us but we got up just in time. "Follow me Trevor." I took his hand and we walked through the lot. "You remember that place with the ribs?" He nodded his head. "Here it is." I opened a door and we walked in. "Wow, you know this place like the back of your paw." "Yep." We walked up to the counter and saw a kind-looking monkey. "Hey Bubba, nice to see ya." "Hey, Mike, what can I get for you?" "One large bowl of icecream." "Oh, you sharin it with your friend there?" Trevor gasped and let go of my paw. "Relax, Trevor, Bubba is one of the only people I told about me." "Oh..." I grabbed his paw back and he smiled. "Yeah, we will be sharing the bowl." "Young love, so sweet." He laughed but Trevor blushed. "I'll be right back." He left and returned in a few seconds with a bowl of icecream bigger than your head. "Careful with the newbie, I don't think he'll be able to stop if he gets started." "How much is it?" "Oh, it's on the house! I owed you one for the favor you did me last week." "Wow, thanks Bubba." "Y'all enjoy, now." We took the icecream and sat at a table closest to the back. Trev picked up a spoon but I stopped him. "Allow me, Trevor, I know where the best part is." I picked up my own spoon and scooped up some icecream. "Open wide, here comes the choo-choo." Trevor gave me an angry look but opened his mouth. I fed him and he turned happy. "Wow, that is amazing icecream." "I told you I knew the best part." By the time I said the sentence, he had already downed half the icecream. "Trevor, don't eat it that fast! Bubba makes the world's best icecream, but it also gives the world's worst headache." "Woah, thanks for warning me." We ate slowly and soon finished the bowl. "That... was good." I smiled at Trev. "Hey, Mike, you got a little icecream on your nose." I treid to look at it, but Trev had it licked up before I could see. "Stop doing that, it tickles." "I just can't resist. Uh oh..." He looked out the window. "It's Maxx and Zack!" I turned my head quickly to see the 2 walking to the door. "Mike, are there any malls around?" "Yeah, theres one not to far from here, lets go." I grabbed his paw and took him to the door. "Bubba, this is Trevor. If you see a tiger and jaguar come in here, stall them. The tiger is Trev's brother and the jaguar is his boy toy." "Ok, I will see what I can do." "Thanks Bubba, I owe you a huge one!" We went out the way we came in. We walked quickly to the mall and soon got there. "Wow, it's bigger than I expected." "Yeah, some crazy governor came in demanding one." "Hurry, before they get here." We took one step but were both pulled back. "Where do you think you are going?" We looked back to see Maxx and Zack holding us tightly. Maxx had his little brother and Zack had me. 'Hah, again, Zack, you know you can't hold me.' I growled at him but it didn't seem to phase him. "Can it, mutt." I stopped growling and whimpered a little bit. His grip just got tighter. "Take them back to the truck." We looked at eachother with worried eyes. "What are you going to do to us?"
