It's that time of year again when I convince myself that I'm not absolutely terrible at it and try to draw something. This year I was inspired by the pair of Peregrine falcons that live and hunt near my job. I dug up a wild life photo and went to work with a basic cheap #2 pencil on a not quite as cheap sketch pad. I found I had messed up the angle on the left side and ended up making it much wider than it should have been, but I had most the graphite down before I realized what I had done. Rather than scrap the work I went with it and decided to learn from it, not a bad go considering I don't really do this sort of thing much at all.
