It had been two weeks since the big party in Keff's building (which, in fact, got six people expelled, and got Keff put on probation), and Vince was actually passing his classes and his training, for once. His roommate was constantly keeping an eye on him ever since he caught him drinking at the party, but, it seemed to be doing the trick; the blue fox finally was studying, was finally getting an adequate amount of sleep, and was finally feeling healthy.
But, every time Vince saw Rocky lately, he felt very strange, and awkward. He couldn't make eye contact, he couldn't seem to talk, or even think straight. It was beginning to get very difficult even to just share the room with him.
"Vincent, good job on yesterday's tests!" Rocky's voice startled him out of his thought.
"Uh... um... thanks Rock." He stumbled, trying to form the sentence correctly.
Rocky smiled at him brightly. "How are you feeling? I saw you got some sleep. You were out before even me!" he chuckled.
"Must be that busy schedule of yours. You're always busy... I kinda feel like we don't really see each other much anymore..." his voice trailed off.
Vince thought to himself, looking for an answer, but couldn't seem to find one, so just sat there looking down blankly.
Rocky sat down next to him slowly, and spoke softly.
"Hey, um, Vince... I, uh... I need to tell you something." He began to blush, and looked down. "I, uh... I think I..."
Vince suddenly stood up. "Oh, crap! I'm gonna be late for training!" He looked at the clock, it was noon. "I'm sorry, dude. I really need to go! Tell me later, okay? Seeya in a bit!" He ran out of the room.
He cut across the grass into the indoor summer training courts, and, forgetting everything else, changed into his battle suit to train.
