So I went up to Dudley the other day and played a few sets of tennis with my good vulpo-lupine chums Sayre and Awkore. It was a lovely sunny day and twas great fun. I figured that the only thing was missing a bit of chirpy, airy, spring-like music. So!
You've got an main melody, which is the soundtrack for two energetic players of the game, darting across a court and in full swing. This is followed by a calmer B-section of the gentle motion of a ball in flight on a typically English grass court, and we return to a more emphatic version of the A melody, before a relaxing finale.
I actually really like this piece, I'm very proud of it and it has a very pleasant aurora to it, I find. Hope you enjoy it too! Consists of: Piano, Celesta, English Horn, Violins, Cellos, Harp, Flute Triangle, Drums, Woodblocks and a tennis racket!
