A Fishmas Story
Well yesterday was my favorite day of the year, Fishmas. Which is also known as opening day of trout season. The water levels were so low that fishing was awful, well at least after the first 30 minutes. I caught 4 big Golden Rainbow trout between 18 and 21 inches and 3 smaller regular rainbow trout. Then the fish stopped biting, probably because me and my buddy had caught most of the ones in the pool. There were about 20 other fishermen fishing the same big pool as us and as we left one of the fishermen across the creek yelled out, "Thanks for the Show!"
The funny thing is they thought we had done really well, and I was majorly disappointed. I usually get 30 to 40 in the first hour. Oh well, I guess that means I'll be able to get more writing done until we get some more rain to improve the fishing.
